The annual rating of Ukrainian higher education institutions based on data from the Scopus scientometric database (link is in Ukrainian) has been published on the osvita.ua website. The results of the rating are based on the citation rates of scientific articles published by educational institutions or their specialists and compiled based on the results of scientometric monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activity in Ukraine according to the data of the SciVerse Scopus database in April 2023.
In the rating table, Ukrainian universities are ranked according to the Hirsch index, a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of their citations.
Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University took 27th place in the ranking, with a Hirsch index of 37, the number of articles — 2,978, and the number of citations — 10,963.
These are the results of the systematic painstaking work of the scientific and pedagogical team in the field of scientific activity. Thanks to the constant attention of the Administration to the development of scientific research, significant investments in the development of scientific infrastructure (laboratories, equipment, the purchase of reagents and laboratory animals), the university is steadily improving its place in the scientific rating, rising from 83rd place in 2021 to 56th place in 2022. And this year it entered the top thirty best scientific institutions of Ukraine.
