A scientific and practical conference on "Coronary calcium — why do you need photofluorography of the heart?" was held in University Clinic MESC of ZSMU.
Mykhailo Kolesnyk, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Family Medicine, Therapy, Cardiology and Neurology, Ambassador of Ukraine to the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, presented modern views on the role of determining coronary calcium in the primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
Innovative approaches were highlighted with examples from his own practice for a personalized approach in prescribing statins and aspirin considering the index of coronary calcification. We would like to remind you that this modern technique is available to patients of the University Clinic and is carried out on a state-of-the-art Revolution EVO (GE, Japan) CT scanner. The diagnostic procedure does not require contrast administration. Thanks to the unique technologies of the Revolution EVO CT scanner, the radiation dose is minimal.
