Scientific work at the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University does not stop, even in view of the war and the difficulties associated with it. Doctoral and postgraduate students are actively working on their research, experiments and research are being conducted. After all, scientific research at ZSMU is provided with an excellent base: the most modern Educational and Scientific Medical Laboratory Center with a vivarium, numerous laboratories for conducting research in medicine and pharmacy, the latest equipment, reagents, and laboratory animals, for which tens of millions of hryvnias are allocated every year. All this contributes to scientific creativity.
Since the beginning of the year, in the electron microscopy laboratory of the Educational and Scientific Medical Laboratory Center, there has been ongoing research at the subcellular level of damage to neurons, gliocytes and brain vessels in cerebral strokes, diabetes, severe liver and kidney failure, as well as regenerative processes in the central nervous system with the use of the latest medicines. Research carried out in the laboratory is the subject of doctoral and candidate dissertations.
