The experience of ZSMU has been presented in the Ministry of Health
Today, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has hosted a meeting of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions that trains applicants in the field of knowledge "22 Health Care" at the Ministry of Health.
Deputy Ministers, heads of specialized departments, and rectors of medical universities, subordinated to the Ministry of Health, as well as postgraduate medical education institutions, have attended the meeting, chaired by Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
The Rector of Zaporizhzhya State Medical University, Professor Yuriy Kolesnyk reported on the experience of ZSMU in the organization of the educational process in a mixed form using synchronous-transfer data mode with full visualization in quarantine for the pandemic COVID-19.
It was possible to ensure the educational process and all stages of control, practical skills, state certification of graduates and all types of postgraduate education, thanks to strong material and technical base, the state-of-art equipment, and a high level of IT competence of the teaching staff of ZSMU. The usage of licensed MS Teams software allowed recording the whole process and each "step" in the system of 1738 teachers and 19962 students. The software allows getting supporting information about every class,teacher, and student at any time.
7,151 lectures were given online during the 2020-2021 academic year. At least 60 classes were held daily. Moreover, each department got creative in organizing lectures and practical classes by using a wide arsenal of available online tools.
The unique methodical experience was summarized at the educational-methodical conference "Experience of the introduction of the mixed form of training in ZSMU, a trajectory of development and a place in the system of medical education".
The Rector of ZSMU, Professor Yuriy Kolesnyk, has been elected as Chairman of the Board of Rectors at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine at the meeting.
