Support of HE in Ukraine (with Palacký University Olomouc)
Support of study programmes development, university self-government and international mobility at selected universities at Ukraine
International development cooperation project submitted by Palacký University Olomouc is aimed at assisting Ukrainian universities with transformation of study programmes and creation of study plans, supporting both development of university self-government and democratic principles in university governance, and furthermore improvement of Ukrainian students’ international exchange. The purpose of the project is based on the core needs of a transforming Ukrainian society which needs to strengthen democratic principles in the governance of the country and its major institutions, enable the development of international exchange and draw on other countries experience with implementing of European standards of higher education and also gain experience with implementing the Bologna process. The project aims to meet the above mentioned needs in the form of an educational programme for Ukrainian university staff. The educational programme will be implemented in the form of three distance learning courses followed by workshops focused on the above mentioned topics. Courses and workshops are designed for representatives of Ukrainian universities. The project will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will cover preparation and translation of learning platform and study materials for teaching the three distance learning courses. The second phase of the project involves implementation of distance learning courses, which will be taught in online web- based environment. In the third stage the distance learning will be concluded by practical workshops designed for 10 selected participants from partner schools in Ukraine and carried out at Palacký University Olomouc. Through training and internships of the key university staff will the newly acquired knowledge and experience with the transformation of higher education have the possibility to influence the current and upcoming generation of Ukrainian students from partner universities, which is a key target group for the future development of democratic society in Ukraine.
