The training of foreign citizens in specialties “General Medicine” and “Pharmacy” has been carrying out in Zaporozhye State Medical University since 1973. About 10500 specialists have got medical and pharmaceutical education and are working now in more than 100 countries of the world, taking up high positions in the public health systems of their countries.
At present 1800 foreign students study at the International Faculty № 2 in the specialties “General Medicine”, “Pediatrics” “Dentistry” and “Pharmacy” and at the stage of postgraduate education. They are from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Armenia,Vietnam, Ghana, Guinea, Greece, Georgia, Ecuador, Egypt, Zambia, Israel, India, Iraq, Cameroon, Kenya, China, Columbia, Cote d'Ivoire, Lebanon, Libya, Madagascar, Morocco, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, Russia, Syria, Tanzania, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka. Medium of instruction is Ukrainian, Russian and English.
English medium of instruction has been providing at the ZSMU since 2002. More than 1024 foreign citizens study in English now.
