Case writing training
As the project TAME goes on, ZSMU tutors gain more and more experience in teaching against medical error and students obtain a valuable knowledge and skills that will be essential in their future careers. Our students have already begun training on paediatric cases provided by the St. George University and adapted by our teachers. The next step is to introduce the new cases for various clinical attachments to our medical students.
So, with the purpose to learn how to create such cases two members of our TAME team have participated in a two-day workshop held by SGUL (London) on 5-6 of December. AndriiBilyi, senior teacher of Organic and Bioorganic chemistry department and OleksandrKostrovskii, assistant of the Otorhinolaryngology department, both experienced educators, were trained to design and develop VPs cases with medical errors. Andrii and Oleksandr learned about key concepts, challenges and peculiarities of writing VPs cases. After these cases are written, peer-reviewed and tested they will be uploaded into the Openlabyrinth (platform) and go live.
