Young ZSMU scientists got four European grants!
Young researchers from ZSMU were once again rewarded with grants by European Society of Cardiology. They will participate in the Congress, scheduled for August 2017 in Barcelona (Spain). The experts thoroughly examined applications of our scientists, because ESC provides a total of 150 grants thus the screening is rough and is held through examination of researches, publications and scientific practices.
It is remarkable that our university will be represented at the most prestigious forum by young scientists of the Department of Pathologic Physiology — Nazar Kuzo, Maria Fedotova, Maksym Danukalo and Sergiy Tyshchenko. This grant is second one for Nazar Kuzo and Maria Fedotova. Last year, resulting their researches, they took part in the Congress of Cardiology in Rome. The main directions of their researches are human brain and problems with hypertension.
Such success and recognition of talented ZSMU youth is not accidental, it is a result of consistent hard work aimed at organization of scientific elite that would bring medical industry of the country to a higher level. The Department of Pathologic Physiology created exceptionally favorable conditions for the formation and development of skills of young scientists.
University cares about the facilities and resources for the work of scientists. Last year the laboratory was equipped for functional studies of animals, spending for that purpose more than four million hryvnas, and it is really noticeable considering that young scientists from other universities do the most at their own expense. There are also unique reagents that can hardly be found in other universities of Ukraine. Both chemists and pharmacologists can work in laboratories.
