The First All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference called "Social and Ethical, and Deontological Problems of Modern Medicine (Non-Medical Problems in Medicine)" was held at the Zaporizhzhya State Medical University. The event was organized by the Department of Social Studies together with the Department of Children Diseases of the ZSMU.
Interns, ZSMU students and medical college students, teachers, doctors, representatives of other educational institutions of Ukraine The P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE), Bogomolets National Medical University, Zhytomyr Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogic Education, Kharkiv National Medical University, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, Luhansk State Medical University, The National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, Donetsk National Medical University, Zaporizhzhya National University.
The event started with a greeting speech by the Rector of ZSMU, Professor Yuri Kolesnik, who stressed on the importance and significance of scientific conferences organization aimed at combining of social and humanitarian sciences and applied sciences.
The participants were greeted by Professor Irina Utyuz, The Head of the Department of Social Studies and Professor Ludmila Boyarskaya, Head of the Department of Children Diseases of the ZSMU. Scientists from some other Ukrainian universities participated at the conference in an on-line format. Tetyana Marushko The P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE) also presented her report that was highly liked by the audience.
Interns had prepared for the conference for a long time. Scientists from the Department of Social Studies, together with scientists of The Department of Children Diseases, and the Department of Children Infectious Diseases and scientists from other departments consulted interns.
The participants discussed important issues concerning the new realities of Philosophical Study in combination with medical experience. Such areas as topical ethical and legal issues in the medical worker job, the problem of professional burnout, peculiarities of modern technologies usage in the work of future doctors, palliative care for newborns, etc. All reports were professionally prepared and met the great success of the audience. Big success of the event motivated us for the organization of the next interdisciplinary conference.
