Developing of "Krok" tests is a difficult task

Olha Melnikova, who is an associate professor of the Department of Pathophysiology at the ZDMU, who is a member of the Committee for Expertise of the Test Center at the Ministry of Health, shared with colleagues new information from colleges, she learned at the training that was held in the end of last year at the Center.

Olha Valerivna told that the training helped her to get a big methodological basis for the developing tests, paid attention to the modern requirements for such type of knowledge evaluation, told how in her opinion to make a good test, to see feedback of audience, how to evaluate results of tests that were made using mathematical statistics - for indexical composition and the discrimination index. The big attention is also paid to analyzing of test validity.

“Information told by Olha Valeriivna was very interesting and actual that is why the audience asks many questions. For example, professor Igor Belyenichev was interested in is it necessary at the test base of pharmacy that was made a long time ago, to use questions concerning the list of medications. Such examples showed the test base needs constant updating with the usage of a new date. That is why Test Center suggests specialized expertise of already made tests. That’s why when experts that already got education will come to a higher educational institution they will know, how to work with tests, how to verify its validity and see if they can be used for knowledge evaluation. As all this work is done for giving our students a good education and check how good they mastered the material,” said Pro-rector for scientific-pedagogical and academic work Associate Professor Svitlana Morguntsova.
