Today third-year students of ZSMU started taking "KROK-1. Medicine" exam. There are 556 domestic and more than 300 foreign students. The exams will be held in the usual manner with the observance of security measures.
This year, one of the features of the Krok-1 exam structure is inclusion of the English subtests. For the first time third-year students have to demonstrate not only their medical knowledge provided for by the Krok licensed exam, but also their knowledge of a foreign language for specific purposes.
This is the first stage of the Unified State Qualification Exam that third-year students in the specialty "Medicine" have to pass before taking the International Foundation of Medicine (IFOM) exam, which is developed and controlled by the National Board of Medical Examiners of the USA. In Ukraine the IFOM exam is administrated by the Testing Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine along with the NBME.
