Information for Medical Students

From 1st to 3rd July, 2019, third-year students in the specialty "Medicine" will take the International Fundamentals of Medicine (IFOM®) exam as a component of the Unified State Qualification Exam. The IFOM exam will be held in two form:

  • in written form — for students with Russian medium of instruction;
  • in digital (computerized) form — for students with Ukrainian or English medium of instruction.

Date: July 1, 2019 (Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated September 11, 2018, No. 1647 (as amended by the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated June 5, 2019 No. 1252)).

The format of the test tasks will be identical to the test format used in the existing system of Krok exam — multiple choice with five options, where only one is considered correct.

Form and duration: the test contains 160 questions. The IFOM exam in Russian is held in written form, similar to the licensed Krok exam, within four hours.

Date: July 1-3, 2019 (Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated September 11, 2018, No. 1647 (as amended by the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated June 5, 2019 No. 1252)). Student's lists of students with an indication of the exact date and place of the IFOM exam in a digital form will be sent by the Testing Center to the HEI at least a week prior to the date of the exam.

Form and duration: the test contains 160 questions. The IFOM exam in Ukrainian and English is held on a computer in the form of web testing, within four hours.
