Although for foreign freshmen the semester is in full swing, they have already marked their studies at ZSMU with useful experience and first achievements. Future physicians from the very beginning have become active participants in artistic events — conferences, roundtables discussions, creative translation contests, Christmas charity fairs. And all this in combination with careful preparation for practical classes and lectures. On the Christmas holidays, we arranged for them a holiday, giving them diplomas and certificates. And it’s our pleasure to mention them by names:
Garcia Hanan Eric Herman (group 1a, specialty "General Medicine"), an active participant in scientific events, who demonstrated brilliant knowledge of the Ukrainian language during the discussion and got the 1st at the inter-university roundtable discussion on "English Language: Way of Thinking, Professional Communication and Dialogue of Cultures" held in ZSMU in December 2018; the winner (3rd place) of the creative translation contest among foreign students, which took place in November 2018 in Kharkiv.
Meli Inerepamovey Henry (group 2a, specialty "General Medicine"), winner (1st place) of the creative translation contest among foreign students.
Nvacor Bernard Chidera (group 2a, specialty "General Medicine"), active participant of the XIV International Student Conference dedicated to the European Day of Languages "Evromova 2018: Innovation and Development", held on November 30, 2018 in Dnipro.
The group worthy to be mention is definitely group 2a in the specialty "General Medicine", which gladly responded to the invitation to participate in the Christmas charity fair and performed the song "Jingle Bells", which became a highlight of the event.
Our department of foreign languages is glad to see victories and achievements of its students.
Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Alla Kostiantynivna Kulichenko, who trained students for participation in the mentioned events, said: "Over the past years, we have been actively cooperating with the Department of Translation of the National Technical University "Dniprovska Politekhnika" and the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the V.N. Karazin KhNU during student conferences and creative translation contests, where ZSMU students repeatedly became winners. It is very pleasant when the training of our students, in particular foreign ones, is highly appreciated at other universities."
We are proud of our students and we wish them further success!
Associate Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, ZSMU
