On November 28, 2018 the Rector of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Professor Yuriy Kolesnyk, had a traditional meeting with the leaders of foreign communities and monitors, who represent more than 2800 foreign citizens from 42 countries of the world. The meeting was attended by the First Pro-rector, Associate Professor M.O. Avramenko, Dean of the International Faculty No. 2, Associate Professor I.V. Melnyk, Deputy Deans, tutors.
"Safety and comfortable conditions for training of foreign students are issues that are constantly under control for the Administration", said Yuriy Mykhailovych in the beginning of the meeting. "You are convinced that the University life goes on. The Law Enforcement Authorities, the Regional and Municipal Authorities do everything possible to ensure that situation in the city is calm despite of the declared Martial Law. Therefore, your task is to study, concentrate on preparing for exams, engaging in sports activities and not spend time for what can distract you".
During the meeting students raised a number of issues related to the new forms of examinations – National Qualification Exam, IFOM, as well as organization of training and practice, cultural and artistic development, student self-government.
Rector Yu.M. Kolesnyk appealed to the leaders of the communities and the monitors to inform all foreign students about the current situation, follow the disciplinary rules of the University, obey the Ukrainian legislation and always be in contact with the leadership of the ZSMU.
