Objective structured clinical examination 80 fifth-year graduate students who are studying at the III Medical Faculty in the educational program "Dentistry" began to take the second stage of the final Certification - OSCE. The examination will last until June 11. Today, the exam in surgical dentistry takes place in the Dental Training Center that has all the necessary equipment. The Center was prepared for the testing process at all the stations.
According to the Deputy Dean of the III Medical Faculty, Associate Professor Yuri Burega, from the very beginning of the exam, students have begun to demonstrate good grounding, demonstrating skills and abilities, in such manipulations as tooth extraction, anesthesia, opening the abscess, suturing the hole to stop bleeding, imposition\ of a transport immobilization bandage, etc. Hence, work with prepared cases.
The exam continues in compliance with anti-epidemic measures in two shifts. The Examination Commission is chaired by the Head of the Department of Surgical and Propaedeutic Dentistry, Associate Professor Serhiy Chertov, and also includes consisting of representatives of the Dean's Office, teachers of the Department of Surgical and Propaedeutic Dentistry, and the Department of Therapeutic, Orthopedic and Pediatric Dentistry. They all together assess the knowledge of graduates.
Graduate students of the fifth year of training "Dentistry" should also confirm their knowledge of propaedeutic, orthopedic, and pediatric dentistry, as well as providing care to patients in emergencies at this stage of OSCE.
