Vaccination has started at ZSMU

The first stage of vaccination against COVID-19 with Covishield vaccine has started at ZSMU Today. The mobile team №10 of the Center of the Primary medical-sanitary help has arrived to vaccinate the university staff. Vaccination at the university will take place four days. More than 450 employees will be vaccinated. Vaccination is carried out in coordination with the regional coordinator for vaccination of the State Institution "Zaporizhzhia Regional Laboratory Center" of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in accordance with the order of the Department of Health Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.

The mobile team includes a doctor and two nurses. The procedure is voluntary and free. At first, everyone fills in an informed consent for vaccination, then the therapist talks to those who want to be vaccinated, finds out the basic parameters of health, asks about the presence or absence of chronic diseases, allergies, contraindications and more. The vaccination takes place in the manipulation room. There is an injection into the shoulder muscle. After several minutes, the vaccinated person is sent for half an hour to rest under medical supervision. All information about the course of each vaccination is registered electronically, because upon completion of the second stage it will be possible to obtain a certificate.
