The scientific work of students and graduates is the focus of attention

A meeting of the focus group of graduates and representatives of student autonomy with the Vice-Rector of Scientific work Valerii Tumansky (guarantor of education-scientific program "Medicine" for PhD), the Head of the Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Professor Olena Raznatovska, the Head of the department of medical and pharmaceutical education Professor Vira Odintsova, the Head of the Coordinating Council of Students’ scientific work Professor Igor Belenichev and the Head of the Scientific Society of Students, postgraduates, doctoral students and young scientists Sergey Pavlov.

During the meeting the policy of development of higher education social skills (soft skills) was discussed. These skills are corresponding to the stated goals of educational programs: communication skills, leadership, ability to take responsibility and work in critical conditions, able to resolve conflicts, work in a team, time management, the ability to think logically etc.

A lot of attention was paid to the student-centered approach and principles of academic freedom in the training of higher education students at Zaporizhzhia State Medical University. Professor Tumansky underlined the necessity of the internationalization of our university and the measures to ensure academic integrity

The discussion was lively and interesting. All participants took part in the conference. The focus group was suggested to present their ideas about the improving analyzed issues that will be taken into account in the process of reviewing educational and scientific training programs for PhDs.
